Dog’s Best Friend…
Hey! Hey you! You! Wanna wrestle? No? How ’bout fetch? Come on. You know you want to! Okay. I’ll just sit here and look at you with my big brown eyes until you just have to pet me on the head.
Now that I have your attention… (Ooh, ooh! I have this annoying itch by my belly right NOW. That’s better.) Where was I? Oh, right. You know how bad you feel when you have to work late? I found someone to take care of me until you come home! It’s JOANNE’S PET SITTING SERVICE! They’ll come once a day to as many times as I need spending about 30 minutes each time, playing, petting, and making sure I don’t get lonely while you’re gone. They’ll even leave a diary telling you how I behaved and what they did to make me happy! Oh, and they even will help me work on potty training, crate comfort, socialization, dog park visits, car rides, and… (stop jumping and look up guiltily) obedience training.

Excuse me, you forgot to look at me. I’m talking to you here! Yes, YOU. I know you’ve wanted to go away on that trip, although I can’t understand why. There’s a perfectly good sunny window sill right over there just waiting for you to come adorn it. But if you MUST go, who will I nudge with my nose, or snuggle up next to? Who will rub my belly? And for Heaven’s sake, let’s not forget the litter box. Why don’t you just stay home and pay attention to ME whenever I demand it?
Fine. You ’need a break’. I get it. Everything else is more important.
Maybe it’s time you think about bringing in JOANNE’S PET SITTING SERVICE to give me some company while you’re gone. You know, someone who’ll let me rub against their legs like you do. Someone who’ll scratch and rub my back in just the right place when I arch it or Maybe someone who wants to talk to me as much as I like to meow at them.
